This design was chosen to mimic the classic style of forward seating that Chris Craft used with their wooden boats.  The design process started in AutoCAD to get the geometry of the seating correct, then moved on to a full scale mock up that I did with wood and cardboard.  I had the hull and deck sections cut to make sure that I had the correct location and size of the seat as well as ample leg room.  This design includes a teak footrest below the deck, cupholders, designated speaker locations next to the riders knee, and an useable arm rest for comfort.  The teak and Stainless Steel deck railing help the rider hold on when it gets bumpy, and the L-shaped forward knee bolster helps to keep the rider confined in comfort.  With the push of a button on the dash or key fob, the deck hatch will rotate and close to keep that classic closed deck look Chris Craft is known for. The Patent for this was acquired in March of 2008. #7,341,018
